When my son was diagnosed with dyslexia and mild autism we were in shock. Where do you go? What do you do next? Why us?. All the questions that I am sure you have all asked yourselves.
Well their was no state support, and at the time their seemed to be no where to go. We eventually found the Neuron programme at an education show in Dublin.
At first it sounded too good to be true. We took a leap of faith and we are really glad we did. The Neuron programme has changed our son's life. He has gone ftom a sad unhappy seven year old to a happier much more self confident boy. His concentration has improved and his comprehension has surpassed his peers in school. Now he reads books by himself.
He said to me recently when I told him he was doing the Neuron programme to help with his reading "Mammy 1 don't have a problem reading 1 am the best reader in my class'.
The proof of the pudding was last month, he was tested through the school for reading and he scored 98%. This is from a 30% score six months ago before we started the Neuron programme. Neuron has given us hope of a normal life for our son. He does not know that he ever had a problem with reading as it is now second nature to him he reads so well.
